Over weight luggage

It started with me attempting to check in a 40kg luggage plus 5kg bag when I departed Sg ! My baggage limit was only 30kg!!
So my good pal jy says he gonna help me carry the 10kg of sauces and food to my house when he travel to tokyo this coming week!

Then the super kind him told me I can add on stuffs cos hes going to bring a big luggage!! Touched to the max!!
So I asked ling Jie to help me buy some more !! Big Thanks ling Jie!!

My fav brand of Maggie mee! Myojo Tom yum! 12 packs of kinder bueno ! I'm like a preggy craving for kinder bueno for the whole of last week!! Lol

Dearest ling Jie bought dry bee tai mak for kenshin! I was shocked that bee tai mak got dry type!! And kenshin loves bee tai mak!! Thanks yee po!

I'm super eager to eat my choco n Maggie mee! Jy faster come!!!

My man proposed to eat takoyaki last night and he drove to nitori to buy this takoyaki plate!!!

It was so much fun !! And we can add any kind of topping we want!! We are definately going to eat it regularly!

Our toppings!! For kenshin : cabbage, ham and cheese! For us same and of cos Tako! Next time I'm gonna add mentaiko!

Anyway since he's going to nitori, I asked him to help me buy room slipper which I need for today's baking class! I saw w designs last time and describe black color with white poka dots!

Please stop snowing

I woke up and saw this sight! My balcony flooded with snow!!!
Freaking cold !!!

Heavy snow whole day! I have a visitor next week !! My good pal who's helping Me to lug approx 15kg of Sg food and take shinkasen all the way from Tokyo to stay 2 nights in Kyoto !!! I really hope it doesn't snow so
I could bring him around!!

Finally got the lil one's teeth checked today!! Lucky there's no
Cavities ! But dentist commented the area near the gums are dirty! I told him that kenshin hates brushing so much that I had to use force on him and each brushing is maybe only 1 min! (~_~;)

He recommended me to go to the pharmacy to buy this spray! It's for preventing cavities!
Still need to brush but after brushing spray on! Great! Spraying is definately easier than brushing!

Whenever I go to the supermarket or other stores at the mall, I have to try to Siam the way to avoid these cars!!! But sometimes his eyes are too sharp!!

And I came back to Japan for this : my man 's 38th bday
Though he still doesn't want to admit he's 38!!!

Daddy came home like 9pm!! So
I have to eat Maggie mee at 6pm in order to dong until 9! Saw kenshin's hand in this pic???

Steak , garlic prawn, cheese potatoes, mushroom n French beans!

While I'm setting the table, this monster kept stealing food!!

And attacked the juice !!!!

Money ripper Japan bday cakes are crazily priced! The small 4 slices cake cost me almost $50! But disaster during kenshin's first bday had taught me a lesson - this type of $$ is better spent ;)

The two sticking together like glue since coming back!

Daddy kiss kenshin too much until he actually always try to Siam !

Taste like 4 leaves strawberry shortcake!!! Btw I saw ice cream cake at baskin Robbins selling at $38 !! In Sg ice cream cakes r more ex! But here ice cream cakes are cheaper??!! Not sure if its becos it's winter now!! Should have bought that instead! Cos I love their ice cream!!

ABC Cooking Studio

Im really buzy since coming back...
To unpack luggage and few more cartons of stuffs...
Finally physco my man to buy dining table instead of sofa..
Hand altering 3 sets of curtains.. Gosh im still half way through...
Cos 1 set measurement wrong.. still abit long.. need to unpick and REDO.. (CRY)
And another set.. cos i have to iron the lines before sewing.. so I sew it on top of the ironing board which is placed on the floor after ironing..
Who knows after I finished... The curtain was accidentally sewed onto the cloth top of the ironing board.. (CRY BIG TIME) DUMB ME!!
So till now, I have yet to finish altering...!!

And despite the snowy days, I have been out sourcing schools for kenshin... SG Friends STRESSED ME TOO MUCH! LOL ! I felt so behind.. without sending
kenshin to any classes here... (stress in a good way sometimes) hee...

Now everything is still pending.. and under consideration.. shall update more once all cfm.. He will start school in APRIL for sure !!! but only for 1 hour a week...
Here in japan , at 1 year old, they only have once a week lesson and each lesson is only 1 hour.. AT SUPER EXPENSIVE RATE LOH...Dawn told me she sent charmaine to daily 2 hour playgroup for the same price.. !!!4 hours a month comparing to 40 hours a month!! OMG!! money ripping japan!!!!

AS for me... Theres 2 big cooking studios near my place.. Im always passing by and see lotsa ladies inside learning cooking... I so very much wanna take up all their courses there !!! BUT The courses are pretty ex .. like almost $100 per class for cooking and more for baking and bread making.. The school is called ABC Cooking Studio.. they are pretty popular and have around 100 studios all over japan. My friend Miyuki used to work there to teach bread making!!
Anyway My man helped me to sign up for this first timer trial class this sunday at abt $10 nia..
Am super looking forward to it !!!!!! HEres what im going to learn ..

Home sweet home

And soooooo
We are back!!!!!

Midnight flight was a wrong choice! Flight was full and a man was sitting nx to me! He was nice though but that also mean I got to carry kenshin to sleep! He was too big for the bassinet ! And we were all cramped up and uncomfortable! He slept maybe 1.5 hour and cried or fussed the rest of the time! I didnt sleep a wink and also missed the on board breakfast ! Argh!! Hungry and sleepy!
Lucky my man picked us up on time! At first I thought we had to wait an hour but I forgot the one hour time difference! Airport service at Japan was thumbs up!
I was assisted all the way as usual! And monster slept the min he was placed in his stroller!

On the way home :

Me: so is the house messy?
Him: oh I hand washed kenshin winter jacket last night!

Me:Is it? Then then did u clean the house in this 3 weeks?
Him: I threw all the garbage yesterday!!

(still not answering my question!!)
Me: I'm very tired now lei! Don't tell me the house is in a huge mess lei!!

Him: no la! Only abit messed!

After door opened,before I snapped, my man walked straight into the bathroom locked himself up for 10 mins then walked to the toilet locked for 5 mins! For cleaning!
So verdict is house's condition still acceptable la though he should clean beforehand not chin chai clean after we stepped in! Men !! Haizzz !!! I knocked out from 12:30pm till 8:30pm at night skipping lunch! and he served me this for dinner !

I was like wtf ??? Is this Japanese food? Why so black??? It supposed to be monjayaki but the cabbage was too burnt n all cooked wrongly in a mess! Shake head shake head!
But taste acceptable!

And my obasan life restarted the very next day ! (~_~;)

We are surviving well in this super cold weather !

Praying for kenshin's tip top condition

My man just passed me my "allowance" for Sg trip! Yipee!

Anyway, he was emoing telling me that he's going to come back to this quiet dark house with No dinner for 3 weeks! And cry in the dark!! (~_~;) and the paranoid him nag me for like 30 mins non stop for kenshin! (~_~;)

I really hope I don't tire kenshin out! I'm so packed to the extend that I got to hop 3 places on 20th and 2 on 28th! Not to mention place hopping on cny! I wish I have more time really! But judging on my man's behaviour, i must come back on time! Or else he might really cry on his bday eating 7-11 bento at home alone! Lol!
And I pray hard for kenshin in good health throughout the stay !

bless me for smooth trip This time! I really need it! Though so packed, but I'm so happy to see all my good pals!! Counting down! 1 more day!!!!!!!

I'm so looking forward and excited about Sg trip! 3 weeks is too short!!! I'm packed like sardines and thanks to all dearies who's taking leave to meet me! Hugs!!

I'm prepared to gain 5 kg for those buffets n local delights!!! Jumping with excitement !!

Don't need cook, don't meet do chores like mad, don't need differentiate garbage !! The garbage thing is still driving me crazy !! U will be amazed how they make almost everything recyclable here!! Even potato chips bag must wash n recycle argh !!

3 weeks of taitai before returning to japan to continue being obasan teo!! Yippee!!!

I met a bitch today

I met a bitch today! It's actually the first unhappy encounter I had in my 10 months stay here!

Since I came to Japan, my man had been telling me that there might be ppl who discriminate me, mistaken me for PRCs, or simply doesn't want to associate with foreigners. Ppl in countryside might not even know where Singapore is!! And for goodness sake, PRCs , why you ruin your reputation everywhere and got all Chinese into trouble huh???
I understand all these but thankfully kuzuha has the nicest ppl that I felt so loved everywhere I go! There's alot of obasans in kuzuha who are so helpful and nice !

When we first came to kusatsu , my man warned me the same thing again! This is a bigger town, much more younger ppl, I might meet more nasty ppl out here but he told me to face it strongly! And ask me to scold them back in Chinese or English to vent my anger so I won't get all boiled up inside and cry at home!!
So in case I get beaten up in Japan, it's my husband's fault!!

Anyway today I brought kenshin to the nearest pd clinic to get his 2nd jab for influenza! I wanna do this before going back to sg!
This clinc is like a mini hospital witha xray room as well as operation room! I was really happy and was praying that the doc could speak some English !
Best of all , it's less than 10 mins walk away!

Upon reaching, It was pretty crowded, this young lady at the counter was super rude to me! I was all nice speaking to her in Japanese asking if there's any influenza jabs here and I came from Singapore living in Osaka previously so we took the 1st jab in Osaka!
She just said no jab , please go! So I asked if there's any nearby clinic ! She replied she don't know and the hand was shooing me away!!!! Wa Lao it's so embarrassing cos there's so many ppl there!!! I turned my back and walk out of the queue!

I really felt like walking away and hide man! But I know I must get this done ASAP !!!! And recalled my man's words that I must face this type of situation once so I will have no problem dealing with it in the future!! But seriously easier said than done especially when I'm speaking a language which I'm inconfident of !I know! Slap my own face for not studying hard!

And I walked back, queuing at the same counter , told her I insist to see the doctor for consultation!!! Her reply was if you want to see doctor, you must fill up the form in Japanese you know? Fucking bitch, just give me the form la! I can fill up those forms even if it's in Tamil loh!! Kenshin frequent visits to the doctor had trained me in filling up forms man!

I was not friendly to her anymore but I didn't scold her in eng or Chinese also la! After all the hoo ha and waiting, I finally get to see the doctor! Thank god, he's like my previous pd, super nice, can speak English and so helpful!

We discussed about kenshin's jab arrangement and he also provide me information to go to the city hall for kenshin's checkup! Then he says he can give kenshin 2nd jab of influenza today! My heart was like : motherfucker bitch!! no influenza jab?? I hope many pimples pop out from your face tonight!!

Anyway for the jab, I need to fill up another form and this time doc instruct the head nurse to ask the counter to give me the English version forms! Obviously kusatsu is more international than kuzuha cos they have English forms!!
And I was cursing more inside ! Head nurse was very nice too btw!

And so that bitch handed over the English form to me and totally change into an angel! Soft tone, bowing, etc! Wa Lao make me wanna puke! I was actually thinking if I should tell the doctor that ur nurse told me you doesn't provide jabs here! But I decided that since she changed her attitude, forget it la! Maybe she really thought I'm a PRC!

Be a forgiving mum ! She spoilt the couple of hours of My day today but I'm glad I won the battle in the end ! ;)

Be a strong mum ! Be a strong mum for the sake of kenshin ! This is how I motivate myself everyday and be thick skin enough to ask for help or whatever I need all these while! I really hope this positive thinking can go on...

A half day off

Half day off meaning we were out since 10am and came back at 3:30pm! No cooking for lunch and no chores for the first half day except for breakfast!

We ate macdonald at the mall!
It's our secret date cos daddy dislikes kenshin eating macdonald ever since he watched the film supersized me !! But to a boy who's eating 90% of homecooked food, what harm will a occasionally macdonald do to him right? So shhhh....!!!!!
Everything in moderate is ok one! That's my theory! Hee!
We also played around abit n did tonnes of shopping for sg friends! A well spent day !

Happy boy cos his slide at home is being kept aside in the balcony! no space at all!

Monkey loves to snatch our hp n talk to the air these days so I got him a kids phone book from the book store today!

Kusatsu

Kusatsu is consider countryside! We are lucky to move here at this time when they had developed! However if you drive to the opposite direction from those malls, you are able to see the "countryside" of kusatsu!
I really love this place!

We are on the way to this big park which is 15 mins drive away! On the way, the scenery is really beautiful !!!

But when we reached, monster had fallen asleep!!!

No choice u turn back !!

I was complaining to stella one day before why I didn't see mos burger in kansai!! Mos burger is a must eat each time I visit Tokyo !
And now I found it in kusatsu ! Jumping with excitement! and it's 5 mins drive away from our place! Mos burger in Japan is so yummy because they only start preparing when u order so it's so piping Hot! Plus ingredients are so fresh! Even fries are so hot n crispy! But 又贵又吃不饱！！
I ate burger plus large fries plus mos chicken but still not enough!
I blamed it on the portion!

Yesterday, I was lost in the heavy snow alone! I went for a hair cut at this salon 10 mins walk from my place! I also dyed my hair for cny! Japan really has world class service ! I felt so pampered in the hair salon! They even put on my coat for me! anyway it started snowing abit when I left ! I walked faster n suddenly the snow are heavily splattering down from above! I ran to the 7-11 in front , bought an umbrella n called my man! Told him I'm fine n reaching home soon! Note 7-11 is 3 mins away from my place. Who
Knows I took the wrong turn n walk n walk n walk for 10 mins and got lost!!! Panic like mad and freezing like hell with a low batt dead phone, I walked back to the 7-11 and ask the person! The 3 mins becomes like don't know how long!! The good thing is That area which I was lost has a very nice cake shop and tsutaya the big DVD rental place! I didn't buy cakes cos I was worried I slipped and fell n waste the cake ! The floor was really slippery!

Anyway daddy told me he dozed off while baby sitting kenshin,
And woke up to see apple pie gone! No wonder kenshin didn't wake him up for that 20 mins! He was gobbling down the apple pie! Anyway daddy failed his duty la! Dozed off?? Wtf !!

Happy new year

It was a long break! In Japan, they celebrated their new year just like our cny ! We spent our new year break exploring kusatsu , watching tv at home, unpacking more boxes, and spent ample time playing with kenshin! I guess he's the happiest last week!

Mochi is a must food for new year! My man bought these for deco purposes! So we can have the feel of new year at home since there's not much deco outside! It's dragon year !!!

In Japan, during their new year, they eat this osechi which is many small food in a box! My parents in law sent us these! Honestly speaking, I really don't know why this osechi can cost so much loh! It's like more than $100 to few hundred dollars! Crazy price!!!

It's frozen somemore!!

Finally met up with stella on 31st in Kyoto! I really think Kyoto is a fantastic place for fashion shopping! It's like every shop is so pretty and nice !!! But of cos not cheap too !! I will definately go there during sales!!! As we are both quite broke this month, we didn't buy anything! Just window shopping and spent hours chatting away! Great meet up!!!

And thanks for the belated Xmas gift! I love the gloves!

After meeting up with stella, I rush home to cook dinner! At the supermarket I saw many peeps buying soba!! I then recall that it was one of the Japanese culture to eat soba on the last day of the year ! So I bought soba and ready tempura since I don't have much time left to cook! And so new year eve dinner is a simple 5 mins tempura soba!

New year food! 2 boxes osechi from pils all ready to eat! I cooked ozoni which is the so call new year soup! Actually i don't really like osechi! Some items are yummy but some just taste mah mah and some yucks!

Muah chee with love!! My man made these muah chee for me! He took a long time though! Not bad la but I prefer pasam malam one!

And it was snowing almost everyday here! We were all Luke ba zhang!

At nitori!! I dropped kenshin's blue winter cap so I bought this! Daddy said looked like gal but hello the picture is fire engine nei!

Ya I know, oversize jacket, pants, winter cap too !I'm a kiasu n auntie mother! Always buy big big size so can wear longer! This jacket is for 3 years old!

There's a huge pet shop at the mall and we brought kenshin there! Here, pets are allowed to roam in the pet shop! So there's dogs walking around and one even dashed and bumped into kenshin! Kenshin enjoyed alot looking at fishes and bunnies!

I cooked steak tonight since it's the first day back to work!

Resolution for 2012 is the same as 2011! Haha!

Kenshin ate chili yesterday ! I was clearing the plates and he ate the chili! He suddenly started crying n when I looked at him , he kept putting his fingers in to scrap his tongue! I walked up to him and saw chili stain on his mouth! Omg! This chili is from Tsutsumi san n it's pretty spicy!

He kept crying n I manage to calm him down with a packet of juice ! Phew ! But it's still so funny!!!

Exploring the city

We need to go to the city office today again! Just me n kenshin!
It's minus two degree at 11am !

My lil boy has recovered but lost weight!

I wrap him up like a ba zhang cos it's 20 mins walk away from our place n the wind was so strong!

The place is at the other side of the station which Is different from the mall area ! Here I see the typical Japanese old town!

With lots of mama shops n fruits stalls etc !

He saw this familiar popcorn machine ! Kuzuha mall has one too! N he loves it!

It's great to see my happy boy running again !!

Kusatsu

We have to wait 3 weeks for Internet ! Wtf!! Anyway I still have very slow Internet via hp which I have to pay for it! But my man says it's ok to use n don't worry about it so here I am to Rant!

The garbage disposal in Osaka really drive me mad! When we moved house n had to dispose more things including furniture, it was super ma fan! For furniture, my man needs to go to convenient store to pay n buy the label, then move the furnitures to the garbage area n label it! And each time u can only dispose 6 items so my man actually dismantled all furnitures by hands to put it into box! Anyway because of the size of the new house, we practically have to dispose all furnitures ! This is the size of my kitchen cum living room! Super small right ! I know!! Now our worry is the gas stove ! Tentatively using carton boxes to block kenshin!
N we doubt we can fit dining table plus sofa in loh! So it's either one !

Anyway the main reason of this post is to rant on kusatsu garbage disposal! I thought Tokyo is the worst cos they have so much stricter rules than Osaka! But I was wrong! Shiga is worst worst worst! In kuzuha I only have 4 big bins ! Bottles, tin, glass, burnable trash! So it's these 4 categories plus also books, magazine , cardboxes, etc are separated n collected once a month! U have to tie them up properly with strings somemore!

But here, I have to even separate plastic, starofoam those that comes with meat or fish from supermarket ! Clean one hor so u got to rinse it w water at least! This part is same as Tokyo !

Whats make me freak out is they have specify plastic bags for each category ! Omg !! All are super transparent plastic bags with different color wordings for each category!

The 10 different colors shows when they are collecting the particular category! Yes 10 categories !! So u got to bring to the garbage collection point!
Btw in the past , I just dispose batteries into the usual garbage but today I read that batteries cannot be disposed in this way! It should be brought to the city government office ! I was like Huh??? Go all the way there to throw batteries? Siaobo? Now got to buy more bins!! Argh ! I'm like garbage collector! My man n I were complaining to each other that the government should do this type of packing n separation n not putting responsibilities on us whos paying so much taxes!! Well I'm a Singaporean n my man is 1/3 American, 1/3 Singaporean, n 1/3 Japanese ! So we love to complain together and agree to each other! Lol!

Haha ok besides the size of the living room n garbage thing, we totally love everything else here!
Though the house is really small, but it's so much newer than our ex place n small house =less chores! I seriously hate to spend too much time on chores! Not that I hate cleaning but more to like I rather spend the time to play with kenshin, watch tv or bring kenshin out! Ok excuses ! I'm lazy !

We went to nitori , the Japanese ikea on sat n bought mattress! Yeah no tatami room here n i manage to physco my man so all sleep on bed! I hate Futons man, always have to bring out to sun n it's quite heavy!! Good bye Futons! We also bought kitchen cabinet n drawers ! And it takes 2 weeks to be delivered!
So we are living with boxes now basically ! Dinner is almost steamboat everyday cos Its super cold here, already minus !! N I don't want to dig into the boxes for stuffs!

It's fun to choose furnitures together n argue about choices b thinking how to deco or rather fit in the furnitures to this place! Previous place almost all furnitures were given by neighbors n friends so it's not exactly what we want! N becos of the size of the place, my man has to keep measuring every corner but he says its fun to rack his brain like this! It's like a huge challenge to transform this place to a safe equipped room n small corner for kenshin to play!
Oh speaking of this, I'm so pissed! Remembered kenshin'ssnoopy slide , insist to but la! Now don't know put where loh ! Anyway wish us luck! Gor to go source for xs size furnitures again !

Etd japan 14th Jan! Sadly it's noon flight! I hope I won't resort to give my monster wine to make him knock out! God bless me really ! See u guys real soon!

A buzy Xmas

Xmas seems like a curse to me now! Last year h1n1 n this year, kenshin is down with Rosela!
I discovered it was Rosela only today when red spots start showing on his body! I was actually relieved! For the past 3 days, his high fever just wouldn't come down n the swap test shows negative for influenza n rsv!
Pd is worried and run a blood test to ensure nothing was wrong yesterday! Cos today his clinic was closed n Tom is public holiday!

I know this isn't the first time for kenshin to take blood test! But the previous times I was asked to stand outside ! This time in my pd clinic, I was asked to assist to pin my screaming son down! Ohan I'm trying real hard not to tear man! He's too strong n there's 3 of us pinning him down!
N the fever varies from 39.5 to 41 for 3 fucking days!! Argh!

He didn't eat at all n only want to be carried by me 24 hours a day! He kept crying whole day, couldn't sleep n play! I was dead beat! He slept on my body n I have to pee n poo carrying him n cooked while slinging him on my back! I swear my back almost broke !!

I had a argument with my man too! Not exactly an argument but I'm too exhausted n snapped at everything he does to try to help! He just kept quiet n walk away without talking to me! We made up the next day when he took half day leave n came home with my fav kfc ! N he also did all the chores for me! Yes this occasionally help is what I needed to keep me going! I'm glad u did that hubby!!!

My plans for this week were all cancelled !! But I received so much surprises today till I wanna teared! My door bell rang 4 times since morning with friends coming to say good bye n give me presents! My obasan teacher also came all the way to give me my cert n gift!
I'm felt really blessed to meet ppl n friends who will go all the way to help me! While feeling emo, I start thinking about my pals in sg!

And now I got to mad pack for the moving ! Merry Xmas to all in advance! Pray kenshin recovers ASAP !

A Sick and Buzy week

Kenshin and I had been really sick since coming back from kusatsu last saturday..

we have been eating pharmacy bought medicine till wed when our condition just keep getting worse.. I felt like almost dieing with no energy but monkey has lotsa energy still except his nose water change to green gluely gum sticky gum like and running like tap .. Went to the family clinic nearby on wed and now we are recovering ;)

Its confirmed that we will be moving on xmas eve! 24th Dec..

And because we were sick and stay in this whole week, I missed the chance to attend the party at aya's house to say good bye to most of my friends here plus the lunch invitation at Atsuka's house.. SOBSSS!!! Im like leaving without having a chance to say goodbye to so many good pals here..

Anyway, friendship is something that last forever.. This is what they told me..

The world is round, we will definately meet again someday..

The following week will be packed with lotsa packing and cleaning etc..

Had a date with stella on sunday to shop and eat.. i wonder when will be the nx time we see each other again... so im very looking forward..

monday lunch with miki at el chorro the steakhouse where my man brought me to on my bday.. i must eat again before leaving!!!!

and tuesday my graduation day at the school.. its the last lesson of the year and they are giving me a certificate since im leaving..

I always feel good to receive certificate.. Its like I achieve something.yeah!

And wed thurs fri is going to be like mad packing and cleaning.. and SAT move house.. and nx 2 weeks buzy unpacking and more cleaning and

pack and rushing to go back to SG , spend 3 weeks there..

and come back to JP.. continue to unpack..

Though so buzy, but im so looking forward to each event!!!

I made wanton yesterday... my man is so impressed.. but actually wanton is so much easier than gyoza loh.. !!! I was thinking whether to deep fried or make it into soup.. in the end because of laziness and cold weather, I made it into soup..

Yeah!! However, we hasnt taken any look at the place yet!

We just love the surroundings so much and decided on it base on photos!

by the way, my man said i over-rated the place by saying its like suntec city .. haha..he said the malls are not like suntec but more family like.. so i take back my words .. it should be like tampines whereby century sq, tamp mall, ikea, giant, courts are all lump together.. ;)

Daddy packed up the room and went to the 2nd hand store to sell some stuffs away.. Apparently, they do not want to buy our stuffs so we have to pay them instead to help us throw away.. our stuffs are too old la.. no choice.. but what made me Shout is daddy came home with this and I was like !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought we are supposed to reduce stuffs ?? what the hell is this??? He proudly said he bargained for it and it cost only $10 from the 2nd hand shop! -____-''
Its a walker whereby the mickey n minnie will pop up and down when u push BUT kenshin can RUN now loh.. he said he got it cos kenshin loves to push stuffs like trolley etc.. and the car which my garang guni picked up from downstairs was gone 1 month back.. somehow somebody or the owner took it away from the parking area..

House Viewing - Kusatsu

It was a GOOD AND BAD DAY!!!

We were at Shiga whole day today ..

It was extremely cold over there.. I was trembling all the time..

My man viewed 7 houses in Minami Kusatsu yesterday and immediately rejected 6 .. Reasons ; Minami Kusatsu whereby his office is nearby, is kinda like Punggol 5 years ago.. still developing but not developed.. so those 6 places are all either too desserted, too far from train station, nothing nearby, or too old and dark.. the only one he think is ok is the one directly in front of the station.. So we went houseview today..HE actually takes only 20 mins to go to work..by bus.

It was a gloomy start of the day.. the town is nothing like active heartwarming kuzuha.. you just feel blue to live there really.. the only console is the small 1 level seiyu which opens 24 hours near the station.. the basics are there , supermarket, clinics, some shopping.. However, the house is just inches away from the station whereby we can see the train if we open the window.. so if i change without closing the window, I might appear on youtube.. LOL!! those ppl can actually see us so clearly from the train loh.. so imagine the NOISE LEVEL????

Because of cost, we have to downgrade from our current 3 room flat to 2 room flat..

so smaller house, higher cost and noisy, less people, sad neighbourhood..

GLOOMY DAY for me and my man..

We went back to the agency office and my man suggested the agent to show us the photos of houses available at the next station and 2 stations after.. He said he dont mind to take train then change bus again to go to work.. most importantly, the place must be good for us.. as in, have children stuffs, parks, schools, supermarkets etc..

He showed us the next station which is KUSATSU.. but that whole town, only 1 apartment is available for RENT.. we find it wierd.. why only 1??? That apartment requested very high deposit..

But after we look at the photos, we immediately said we want to stay at that place.. I will explain why below using photos.. no photos of minami kusatsu becos we are too blue there.. that town is so dead..

The rent is higher of cos there.. it cost around 2k per month for 2 room flat.. but the company will provide some subsidy so after that, we paid like 1k plus..

However, becos of the high deposit required, and theres other ppl viewing the house today as well, theres only like 50 50% that we will be getting that!!!

BUT U KNOW after going there to take a look ourselves, we were like even if we couldnt get that apartment, we will wait till theres 1 available..

Now let me introduce Kusatsu ;)

We were welcomed by a very sweet smell of waffles from FAR! bought 4 on the way home and I even made the point card.. Assuming we confirm staying there.. LOL

From the west exit, on the left, one mall OASIS.. with some shops and supermarket

On right, Kintetsu mall.. think its those expensive boutiques with brand etc...

From the other exit, which is the exit to the way of the apartment.. we were welcomed by Hotel Boston.. not a big fantastic hotel but very clean and nice when u go near...

And a big SHIGA bank

On the way, saw Al sqaure and Al plaza 2 big malls..

More surprises, when we walk closed, theres more malls there...

We ate lunch at this restaurant SALZERIYA.. I remembered eating this at liang court SG with dawn, min and lisha and i love their chicken wings.. and its consider very cheap here in japan..

Its 1 big carpark surrounded by MALLS! My man said it reminded him of his days in the USA.. cos this type of concept is very America.. To me, I feel that its like SUNTEC city, next to marina sq and city link, and raffles city.. So I will be like moving from JURONG POINT to SUNTEC CITY..

This DIO world is a large supermarket like carrefour which sells everything!!! LOVE IT!!

Walk further, they even have autocar shops, planting shops, and a homecentre building which is like ikea that sells furnitures, beddings everything... And thats not ALL!!

We saw this building which sells electrical items.. and have a kids world... and just when im feeling very upset that theres no toy r us or baby r us.. We saw this!!

Opposite the road, theres 3 very large shops, one says akachan mall, which means baby mall, the one next to are MUJI and UNIQLO!! SO HUGE!!! All my FAV!!!

Brought kenshin to the kids world.. kids below 3 are FREE!! but adult has to pay. It cost less than $2 for 15 mins.. Today is our first visit, we have to pay $6 each to be their member though.. but given 3 hours free..!! Yipee! but we only spend 40 mins there.... cos its running late..

They have cars, games, videos, everything.. and its all inclusive, you dont have to pay extra

Daddy actually start loving the classic games and daytona.. and started playing himself.. (-____-'') I feel like im bringing 2 kids here..

Then I saw this.. super classic Nintendo with super mario brothers.. I got hooked and played 20 mins on this till I kept dieing at stage 4..

It was late when we left, and theres many xmas lightings around...

And this shall be our place if we really get it.. on the 2nd floor.. after seeing kusatsu we realized why only 1 apartment is available for rent.. this place is so perfect and nice!! unless im being transferred out, otherwise, nobody wants to move out from there... ok this apartment down part is , its above a sushi restaurant and a drinking pub.. the restaurant was kinda expensive looking so i guess its quiet.. but hopefully nobody goes to the pub too la.. haha

And this building is next to a very huge sports centre, with a big baseball field.. kenshin would love it if he grows up there.. and I think theres karate class etc all inside the sports centre next to this apartment.. And schools, clinics, hospitals all are in this town..Best of all, this apartment is 10 mins walk to the station.. and maybe 15 mins walk to all those malls i had mentioned just now...

COOL ISNT IT???

I really hope those familes who were viewing this place today will reject it.. and the company will agree to the high deposit.. god bless really.. my man also love this place so much and felt that this is the best choice and good for family and kids growing up!! ITs not like kuzuha.. its so much better and bigger than kuzuha..

When Im in kuzuha, though i always urge my friends to visit us, but you know i stay so downtown like jurong with only jurong point, I felt like its kinda waste of their money to come and stay at my place and have to travel so far to the city.. but now, I really urge all of you my dear friends to come.. Though its shiga, I actually felt Im living in one of the neighbourhood in TOKYO loh.. not only so many malls, we are less than 30 mins away from KYOTO and 30 mins to BIWAKO lake which is a scenic place!!

Though my house is too small to host u guys now, but hotel boston doesnt look very expensive and its 10 mins away from our place..

SO COME VISIT US NEXT YEAR.. DEAR FRIENDS!!!

Result will be out next week, pray for us!! I really super duper love this place..

Downside, due to the weather, kenshin and I were sick now.. he started coughing and puking and im expecting a fever tonight.. I too start coughing now and having fever.. BUT BUT BUT still so excited!!!

Kenshin loves slide

Reached Hirakata 15 mins earlier, so decided to let kenshin played abit at the nearby park.. He really loves slide so much now..

Eagerly running over and started climbing!!

My Happy boy.. I feel bad to keep the active him at home most of these days because the weather is so cold.. and I just didnt want to move so much..

But if the day is sunny, I will bring him to the park .

The temperature now is around 2 to 10 deg yet many are telling me its not consider cold now.. (-____-'') They said the coldness hasnt even start.. Im already freezing loh!!

Yet many hasnt even start using the heater?? OMG!!

Last week was an eventful week other than my usual Tues Class.

Met up with Atsuka and Haruto for a short play at the park...

Kenshin with Haruto.. Haruto is 1 month older than kenshin..

Atsuka gave me fruits again.. A bag of sweet APPLES..

Last friday dinner.. My man was at Hikone for biz trip 3 days last week and this week 1 day.. Now that the training course is off his load, the only thing left now is the job transfer..

The in laws sent over a big box.. with books and toys which my man owned when hes a kid. Im amazed by the condition of the books..still so new!! after 30 years??? !!!!!

Their xmas gift for us... look so horrible right! I know! but its freaking YUMMY! its a Fruit cake.. and theres a layer of icing coating..

My man was super excited cos its his first weekend to REST after the hell NOV!! so He suggested to go to Arashiyama on sat even though the weather forecast said Cloudy and RAINY day.. He told me if it rain, we will just hang around there until the rain stops.. !! so ON!! So we went.. And also NARA on Sunday!!! super tired to travel so far on both days.. but we really enjoyed ourselves and It was a very happy weekend especially for kenshin!!! hes super duper happy!!! we were snapping photos on the bridge.. 2 obasans passed by and ask if we want them to take a family pic for us ? SO KIND!! though the pic is blurred but i still love it.. except for that extra woman.. haha..

My tatami room during winter!
Clothes just don't get dry outside! And these days weather has been bad ! there's no sun ! I don't like to use dryer cos it will make the electric bill jump pretty much!
Jap government should consider something like sg! Indoor area for ppl to hang their laundry but then again the houses are so small here !! Tsk tsk tsk .... Anyway with the heater on in the house, the clothes get dry pretty fast! Definately faster than hanging out there in the cold wind! One stone hit 2 birds :p

Weekend Lazy Meals

My man had been working in the office or from home for the whole of nov !!! Just to complete this major project!! And Finally its over.. YEAH!!

For this one year, he was selected by his company to attend this training course. Yes a 1 year training course other than his usual work. And this training involved lotsa projects and presentations.. And this week was the final presentation in front of many managers. And they all graded him pretty well. 4/5 on average. So HE PASSED... CONGRATS!!! but no pay increament nothing lei.. ;( but he said he learned alot.so...

And him working all the time also means home cook food on weekends..

But weekends are lazy days.. so its always a one dish meal.. ;)

Recently, I fall in love with Ochazuke.

Its so easy to make.. around 5mins if you have left over rice..

I wonder if the famous Hakka LEI CHA in SG taste the same?

Im eating this as supper almost everyday now..

Its very light like porridge? and the main highlight of this dish is green Tea.

but trust me you wont taste the tea taste.

Salmon chazuke.. I toasted the salmon in my toaster oven for 5 mins and flaked it.

Add in some takana.. Takana is pickled veg which taste like KIAM CHAI.. top with some nori and white toasted sesame and pour green tea in..

Umechazuke.. Ok the ume plus kiam chai actually makes me feel hungrier after eating.. haha

And my FAV MENTAIKO!! I can eat mentaiko everyday without getting sick of it..I just love it so much.. but mentaiko is expensive food... !! ;(
YUMMY OCHAZUKEEE !!! mentaiko version is my fav !! but salmon one taste great too!!

Kenshin early Xmas present

Last weekend was the baby r us sale ! I bugged my man to go with us for a few hours since he's working from home this time round! So off we went!

Kenshin insisted to sit on the driver seat to play with the steering! Daddy said kenshin inherit his genes!

Finally he got this push cart! It's the push cart from supermarket n kenshin is always envying others who were seated in it! There was only a few of those! We r lucky this time!

This thing is making my house so messy n cramped now! It's so big and it's blocking the tv! I so very regretted to give my final nod! Argh!!! I argued with my man for more than half n hour in baby r us becos of this!!! Does it make sense to squeeze such big item in our small house?? I suggested to buy the single slide which is foldable and only cost $70! But he insisted that was not fun n this is much better! Argh! I caved in abit n suggested the Thomas n friends one with slide plus basketball n is foldable ! He said this snoopy one has golf, baseball, football n basketball !!! Wa Lao eh want so much balls for what??? So we ended up walking out with this! Damage : $170 ! Look how generous my man is to kenshin! And I have to try so hard to get him register me online to buy happy call kitchen stuff!!! he kept saying no n worried I got hooked n ended up with lots of kitchenware! Excuse!! UNFAIR TREATMENT!!!!

Then he said look how happy kenshin is! Messy and crampy nvm! For once I thought mmm maybe!

But monkey starts doing funny things! Push motor up ! N he has the strength to push this whole thing around! So it's always at different direction blocking ways!! Argghhhhh!!!! N I got to live with this thing for the next 2 years at least? Fuck!!!

My 2 teachers from youtube

Recently, I realized more and more of my friends are actually cooking at home couple of times a week.. some asked me to share my recipes.. Am no expert.. of cos i depends on teachers and cookbook ;)
When I first came to Japan, I know nothing much about japanese cooking.
Its hard to cook fully chinese food or western food here cos the ingredients are not available in the supermarkets.
So these 2 are my saviour.

1)Cooking with dog,
this japanese obasan cooks really well.. A funny accent man help her with the english translation. But her way of cooking is kinda traditional thus take longer time and more tedious for some dish. but her food are more to the pro and restaurant presentation side i think.
And its so funny that the poodle is behind her.. LOL..
I tried chicken nanba, gyoza, tebasaki, tonjiru, kakuni etc from her.. but sometimes i modify abit from her to remove the ingredient i dont have or to add on some.. They are super popular by the way in youtube!! My man love their gyoza.. As in if I buy back some gyoza , he will comment like the one I made taste better..)and the kakuni (simmered pork belly) was so highly raved by my friends and my man. But this takes 2 to 3 hours to cook so i only did it once.. but all the credits go to this obasan .. haha!!

2) MR RUNNY
Hes a young guy and i find him pretty cute.. i like him alot.. his videos are sometimes too funny that I find it so entertaining.. His way of cooking is more like homecook style and quick and easy.. They taste pretty good too..But you can tell hes not pro and also he likes to come up with some fusion dishes.. He also put in efforts to make his video like the music, clip , etc..
I cooked sweet and sour pork, pizza spring roll.. karrage aka fried chicken, etc from him.. The pizza spring roll was highly raved by stella and her hubby when they visit us..

Hubby best friend recommended this drink to us! He said his 2 sons often catch flu and cough but after taking this drink, their immune system improved so much and hardly got sick!

We check this drink out and it couldn't be bought off the shelves from supermarket! You have to order from yakult and their staff will deliver to u weekly! The expiry date Is so fast ! 1 week plus only so they have to deliver to you on weekly basis!

This drink contain lesser calories than the usual yakult n it have something to help build up your immune system! Probiotic is also 3 times more than the usual yakult!
During this winter whereby all severe sickness are at peak, we decided to let kenshin start on this drink .

Ok all the good now the cost! It cost double the price of the usual yakult !

Xia mummy, too bad this drink has to be chilled within an hour and also the expiry, otherwise I would lug a month supply back for jaren boy.

Thanks all for the concern. Kenshin's fever subsided on the 2nd day and I didnt even have to start him on antibiotics. Anyway my pd called me today to check on kenshin's condition. during his lunch time...
i was so surprised and is grateful.. He said if fever still persist , then i might have to make a trip to the hospital for future tests cos it must be some urine or other bacteria infection.

I told him kenshin is all well.. but is still coughing and sneezing abit. He as usual ask me not to mind and let kenshin recover on his own.. (-____-'')

I couldnt share this news in time because I was helping my good pal miki on her speech. Miki is a working mum. Shes an ex radio DJ.. now she works as a emcee, announcer, and shes also a teacher for baby massage class. So she has a job on hand to be the emcee for this wedding whereby she has to speak in both jap and english.
And so my man is supposed to tell me roughly whats in the jap script and I phrase it in english for her..
Anyway it was super funny cos my man's english kinda become rusty..
It suppose to be The GROOM and BRIDE.. but he said BROOM instead of GROOM! I couldnt stop laughing and many many more..

A 41 deg burning son Again

It started from 5am, when daddy wakes up to prepare for work.. he has to go to Hikone for business trip again today.. I woke up and while putting the blanket on kenshin, I felt his body was so warm.. Feeling something not right, I took his temperature.. 38.7 deg!!.. Gave him some oral medicine bought from pharmacy..

His temperature dropped later on.. It was all well and i thought it was just a one time thing.. cos he seems so fine and as usual actively playing..though he didnt have appetite.. I didnt want to bring him to the doctor because the cases of RSV , H1N1 Influenza A and B are increasing... due to the weather... Im worried he goes there with lil sick but caught a big bug back..

Anyway, At 2pm, his temperature was 37.2 which was rather good.. until 3pm, suddenly his face was so RED and he becomes so restless and staring into the blank!! I touched him, and oh my god.. BURNING HOT.. took his temperature and a shocking 41 DEG!! I kept reminding myself to be calm but then again the memory of him catching Influenza A last christmas kept coming to my mind..the 41 deg !!!! this time round, luckily theres no FITS! otherwise, I will freak out man!!

Are we that SWAY?? Our Influenza vaccine is scheduled on 24th , this thursday!!
We couldnt take it earlier, because over here, they only allow u to take 1 jab per month.. so kenshin just took Mumps last month and I already postponed his polio jab to slot in this Influenza vaccine..

The clinics will only open at 5pm.. And given this cold weather, Im not sure if sponging him is the right way??? Anyway I took off his jacket, try to cool him down, and pasted the fever cool patch on his forehead, both underarms, and I sponge his neck and back with warm towel,... I gave the oral medication again... but this time round the temperature doesnt comes down that fast.. I continue sponging.. until 30 mins later, it come down to 39 deg... phew~~

I call a taxi at 4:30.. the sky is already dark.. and the wind is so strong for us to walk 30 mins there... And upon arriving, a swap test was carried out to test for RSV and H1N1... Im thankful that the result were both negative..

But why the super high fever??? I asked my pd if it could be the case of ROSELA? Rosela is common among kids.. High fever persist for 3 days and later on rashes start appearing on body but that also means on the way to recovery. He said it could be possible.. But anyway, I got to monitor.. I was given antibiotics but only advised to start tom if high fever still persist.

He did not take any solid food at all today.. when I try to feed him, he just shoo my hand away.. he drank some milk and juice only.. The fever hasnt go away yet.. it was still like roller coaster.. but im glad its not influenza man!!
Hope my baby gets well soon tom... mummy miss your cheekiness.. your restless self today makes me uneasy... get well soon baby!!

p/s: dont know why each time daddy goes for business trip and didnt come home, kenshin gets sick.. come to think of it, daddy is only around once or twice when kenshin is sick.. Am i just sway to always face this kind of situation alone..!! or is he lucky? HAHA! Anyway he will be back tom night.. ;)

Loving my new cook book

The chicken , taro, egg simmer dish is from my new cookbook... It was so yummy.. The chicken meat practially came off once you bite it.. Taro was so sweet..

Fried Tofu with kinoko .. and Spinach with egg, crabstick stirfry is from new cookbook. My man said it was good...

The weather is really bad these few days.. so with more time at home.. I try to put more effort in cooking.. so I got nothing much to blog.. except to show off my cooking skills ya.. LOLz..;p ;p As if its restaurant standard.. nah... im too far from there.. just normal home cook food for my love ones....

Pizza Day

My man is working 7 days a week again.. He has been working for 2 weeks straight.. without rest.. I start to worry about his health!!
Anyway, Im glad that miyuki suggested a Pizza baking party!
Shes a bread making teacher at a well known cooking school in Japan before she becomes a Mum. The fusion pizza is made by me.. It doesnt looks good because kenshin is so cranky that day.. !!! Anyway, Ppl here made pizza because pizza is crazily overpriced here.. I tried making once but the taste wasnt that great so later on, i ended up buying crust from supermarket and do my own toppings...

flour, salt, sugar, butter or olive oil.. as simple as that? same ingredients but why taste so big difference? Seeing how Miyuki knead and knock down the dough makes me understand why my pizza sucks... Apparently, Bread making is more on the technique side rather than ingredients.. I doubt I can achieve the same result if I were to make it myself again.. This pizza was so crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside.. MAD HEAVEN!!!!!

As some close ones had known, we will be moving to kusatsu next year! Hubby's new assignment will start from Jan 2012 ! To go to kusatsu from our current place takes 2 hours ! So it's 4 hours a day traveling time compare to the current 2 hours plus for him! He's more worried about not being able to catch the last train back home! So we decided to move....

I was very upset to leave kuzuha! This peaceful heartwarming neighborhood !! Though Japan has pretty low birth rate but kuzuha is so filled with kids !! Library, park, mall, kids mall!!! Love this place!
And ppl are so nice here! Even though I'm a foreigner, no discrimination! Nice neighbor who offer to drive me to the mall on rainy days cos she knows I need to go for jap class on tues! And everybody u see greet u with a smile everyday! Even kids! From 4 years to 20!! The kiddos Bow to me n greet me! Super polite!! Love all my neighbor!

The bread shop auntie n uncle who always give kenshin one free oven fresh butter roll everytime we go there! The meat shop uncle who taught me cooking! The nice teachers in kenshin's playgroup who's always so nice! My cool pd who speaks English ! And another super nice pd who did kenshin's vaccinations n check ups! She can't speak English but she always write a letter explaining stuffs so I can show to my man despite the long q outside!

And all the nice mummies who taught me so much thing! And all my good pals here, I will miss u guys!

Kusatsu is more countryside so it's so much colder in winter becos of the mountains n rivers!
I heard that it's always snowing there!

And Karen told me a week before this news that she had booked tix to visit me in June!! Awwww! My first visitor yet I can't be around to meet her!!

Art and Craft!! Long TIME!!

Miyuki jio me and miki to this 3 times a year event whereby mums gather at this people association alike place to do some art and craft and singing with kids.. Theres alot of obasans there.. And its good! cos KENSHIN SUPER LOVE OBASANS! i dont know why but hes extreme friendly and will always wave his hands at them..

I lost my way there.. and miki came over to find me .. we were so late.. Anyway this event only SGD$2 nia.. got coffee and cookie somemore! hohoho..

it has been so long since i do art and craft.. anyway this is suppose to be done by kids with mum..mine look pretty ok cos no involvement from kenshin!! hes not even with me. Where is he lei???

They even do some puppet show.. kenshin was even dancing and enjoyed so much.. miki and miyuki were shocked cos first time to see kenshin so friendly..I told them cos alot of obasans here.. he loves them!! haha!!!

Went to the park to eat our lunchboxes after class and the kiddos started playing!!

Last Week

Last week was buzy and tiring.. My man actually worked 7 days week from early morning till late night due to the job transfer thing.. He was in the team whos in charge of this whole transfer. .. I hope this transition period is over soon so our family life can be back to usual.. So its me with kenshin the whole week with minimum rest .. TIRED!! And my boy is really getting more cheeky and naughty.. For 2 consecutive nights, I woke up shocked cos i felt something heavy pressing on my body and make my breathing difficult.. I had heard of ghost pressing on top of human body stories so i was FREAKED OUT!!! opened my eyes and it was my boy who ROLLED UP to my BED and on SLEPT on my body!!! ARGH!!!!

Anyway we played blocks, lego and do lotsa singing dancing and went to the mall, park, library on sat and sun.. On weekends, everywhere u go, u see families.. so i see us as going on DATE.. hee..

He can stack the block high up now.. his balancing is improving! haa

while kenshin was asleep in his stroller at the mall, i went to this mini household fair at the mall n bought this !! no more LAO HONG potato chips and cookies! yeah!

And i spent 45 mins in the bookshop browsing cookbooks and bought this! Theres a Gals university in tokyo who specialize in food nutrition. I think they study about food, cook, bake, experiment with food.. how interesting right? How i wished SG has this type of university! I believe I will excel seriously !! haha

One big step

Every night , I will wait for my man to come home, eat dinner, and while he's eating dinner, we will chat about the day! I really enjoy this conversation because communication is just so important in a marriage! And he will be at home by 12:30 latest cos he got to catch the last train! And kenshin is always our main topic!

So i Told daddy last night that I slapped kenshin! His answer surprised me! He said good job! Lol! He said if he's not scare of me hitting his hands n butt, I should continue slapping!! He doesn't want him to be spoilt! But hor he's spoiling him all the time loh frankly! He only hit kenshin once ! It was on the head and it was because kenshin took a toy cheekily walked to me n used the toy n hitted me hard! Then ran off laughing! Daddy hitted hard on him n he cried too! But only that one time loh! Then he said cos he only get to spend time with him on weekends n maybe 30 mins on some weekdays if kenshin wakes up when he's home! So he wants me to be the devil la now? I be the hitter n he be the angel! Wtf!!

Ok so I decided today if he behaves, I will reward him with his fav yakult! But wa Lao eh this morning he woke me up by stepping on my face with his full body weight loh!!!! Argh !!!!!!! My nose hurts so bad now!! Bloody hell!!!!

One tight slap

I gave kenshin one tight slap today! He cried for a whole 15 mins and I actually left him to cry till he recover on his own n come to hold me legs!
I saw his red cheek and realized I might have used too much strength! I actually felt really heartpain!
I was not feeling so well today maybe due to the weather! Terrible Headache whole day and he's really getting on my nerves! Especially when he kept switching off the heater! I hitted his hands and butt in the first place but as usual, he's not scared n even pushed me away! So that's it! Out of anger, I just gave one tight slap which I very much regretted after seeing his red cheek! I should have control my strength ! He's afterall just 1 year plus!

I nv regretted being a full time housewife n sahm ! I'm happy and the moments seeing him growing up is just priceless! But at times when I'm sick , I still wished to have some peaceful moments!

and I really don't wish to see Him becoming like those spoilt kids whom are not scare of their parents!

My monkey got into a fight

My 16 months old monkey 不知量力的fight with a 3 year old boy today ! Just because they are chasing the same pigeon! Faint man! Hes really getting out of my hands lately! I don't know who started first but suddenly I saw both on the ground, that boy kicking kenshin n kenshin using both hands repeatly hitting that boy! His mum was a distance away chatting with someone so didnt noticed! And kenshin was half crying half shouting in his baby language while hitting him!
I quickly go over n Pull them aside! Shake head shake head!

Poor pigeons always kena chase by a bunch of kids when they just wanna rest！

Tonight's dinner - getting my son to eat vege

After becoming a housewife, cooking a well balanced meal for my family becomes one of my priorities! Sometimes I do cook deep fried stuff, but sometimes I'm racking my brain how to include more fruits and vegetables!!

I can't rotate this pic here ! Anyway it's :

Pork shogayaki aka ginger pork, miso soup, tamagoyaki, spinach with radish ume!

I learned the ginger pork dish from tv n my man said it was so good! Restaurant standard! And best of all, instead of using sugar, persimmon which is this season fruit is added! It was really yummy! Good with rice! I love persimmon here ! Instead of the usual soft juicy, here it was crunchy! But sweet too!

I suck in making tamagoyaki! Not folded properly, not tight enuff, and abit overcooked! To get my boy to eat more vege, I added carrot in this dish! My boy loves it !

I learned from the tv that the vitamins in the tomatoes will increase when u freeze them! And here is how I make my boy eat tomatoes which is high in vitamins but some kids dislike it! Grate the frozen tomato , add into his meat or vege dish to cook! Or

Tomato sorbet !! This is what u get when u grate a frozen tomato! Very refreshing taste! Of cos u got to use Those not so sour tomatoes！a healthier choice ice cream for the kids!

Last weekend was a shopping week. Shopped for winter clothes, winter socks, winter pyjamas.. mainly for me and kenshin.. my man doesnt really buy clothes. Hes still wearing 10 years ago winter wear.. OMG!! Anyway, I bought 2 pairs of chio chio boots!!SUPER BIG HOLE IN POCKET.. but its good to see new stuffs .. thats women.. hee.. and yeah, we bought one portable heater.. I told my man that the air con aka heater is not enough really.. and bathroom is so coldd... so we bought this extra heater.. god bless me in winter.. my friends laugh at me and said now its consider cooling, not really cold!!! the real coldness will hit me from dec onwards.. >____<''

Lil monster.. we are waiting for daddy to come down.. hes too anxious and excited and insisted to come down first after changing..

Crazy weather rose to 20 over degrees these 2 days... We were out early in the morning today! Woke up at 7 and we are out of the house at 9am! Went to the fountain place and library!

Bought our fav croissants! These mini croissants are so yummy! It's kenshin and my fav! There's 5 and he ate 2 !!

My boy running around! Due to summer had ended, there's no water coming out from the fountain! So now it's basically flat ground for kids to run about!

He saw pigeons and ran out of the borders!

He's so far away from me! Cos he go and provoke one lil boy to chase him!

And so a buzy day means dinner is back to quick and simple again!

Cold weather makes me fat

I woke up at 3am last night feeling so hungry! Made myself instant mushroom soup n toasted bread!
Recently, I Start eating so many meals! Besides the 3 main meals, I take tea break too! N after eating dinner with kenshin at 6pm, I eat again with my man when hes home around 11pm.
So it's 5 meals a day n last night omg!! 6 meals!! Kill me pls! I just keep feeling hungry all the time! My clothes seems to be tighter ! No im not preggy for sure cos I'm bleeding profusely below now!

One Ear Shrek

Doctor concluded that kenshin was stung by some insect! Anyway his ear got worse after coming back and now he looks like this! I kept calling him lil red shrek today! The swell should takes a few days to go down I assume knowing that the medication here are so mild
(-__-)" and I'm used to the fact that I could only see results after couple of days!

The good part is because of kenshin's ear enlargement, my pd helped me to extract 2 huge prune like ear wax from that ear easily! From the normal size ear, he only extracted one!

This is the 2nd time kenshin got his ear wax extracted! Before 1, my jap pd in sg actually told me I should let the expert do the job instead of myself! Once she helped me to extract and today is the 2nd time! I hope kenshin can response to me better now!

He's 16th months old! Weighing at 11.5kg as of today! Though his ear is burning hot and itchy but he's still very active and cheeky except for medicine time! Hes driving me mad these days! He locked me up in the toilet yesterday n today! Now each time I go to toilet, he will run behind him, use his body weight to stop me from opening the door! In Japan, because of the small size rooms, all doors can only be opened outwards! So I force open, he close, I force open, he close! It went on like 10 mins loh! I was damn angry cos he's laughing out loud when he slammed the door close! I hit him when I come out but he still repeats this action everytime! Argh! And when I'm doing laundry, he too ran n shut the balcony door and turn the lock! Wa Lao!! Heng the lock was stuck and I quicky ran over to stop him! Imagine imbeing locked outside in the cold air and he can't unlock? My man is on biz trip this whole week at hikone except thurs which is a public holiday! It was really a close shave!!! Kenshin u better wake up your idea !!! Argh !!!! Enough of my ranting! Cooking time again!

One of the activities by the mama community. Actually we are a group of mamas gathered by Emi and she will look for instructors, teachers for all sorts of classes and then email us to see if we would like to participate. 3 to 4 times lesson a month. We always have english class, music singing class, pilates , dance, . It cost only $10 each time cos She will rent those activity room at the library. Its so much cheaper than you go to those private classes.

I love how all of us gather and talk about our kids after the class. Its always good to hear and learn stuffs from each other.
And this english teacher is so fun. She makes so much effort to deco the room.

Atsuka and haruto.. shes the same age as my sis.. im always impressed by young mums! cos at their age, im buzy partying!!! and yet they are mums who deal with tons of sleepless nights and crying!! And Atsuka even bake and make clothes for haruto!!! OMGGg!! Stella is in osaka now. we met up last week and talk about japanese mums.. and we concluded that they are born to be so tough and strong! but not us. we are SG MAMAS who yearn for rest and sleep!

This month's gathering is at my place.. Since its oct, I make it halloween theme.. Those window stick on and pumpkin are all from daiso.. I cooked seafood spring rolls, momofuku chicken wings, potato salad with mozerella and tomatoes.

of cos kenshin's meals doesnt look like this every day. its just today!

Stella got me prima taste mee siam pack! so I serve mee siam as main dish! They love it!

The 2 kids are happily playing with this carpark .. but guess what, at the end of the day.. this whole carpark was totally broke down by them and shattered into pcs.. daddy came home in a shock! I told him its the work of 3 monsters! haha..

Though it's so cold in the early morning and night, the afternoon is still cooling at around 15 deg!
At Around 11am to 2pm!

Went to the usual park shiminomori to kick ball, play sand and run around! Kenshin is at the stage whereby he dislikes other kids touching his stuffs and toys! And I got to keep emphasizing him to share!

Kenshin has a dark side!! Hahaha! He loves baikinman more than anpanman! Baikinman is the bad guy in the anpanman cartoon! He's always holding on to this baikinman digger everytime we go to the park .

The gardeners of this park displaying full blossom chrysanthemum flowers! Ju hua are known as high priced flowers in Japan but frankly speaking, it just keeps reminding me of Si Bei Lor! (四马路）!

Mikan tree!! I wish I could pluck those Mikan home! Lol !

AS for me, its a simple celebration here in japan. Sat was dinner at this steak restaurant at okotoyama.. The steak was so tender and yummy that I told my man, next year dont order what course dinner set.. just give me 2 STEAKS! haha! Sunday, while kenshin and I were taking nap, my man sneak out to the mall and came back with this small heart shape cake.. Im really happy.. His first words to me was :'' sorry baby i didnt ask for 29 candles..!!'' i used to tell him that i want my bday cake to be full of candles according to my age.. but hes simple too pai sei to ask for 29 candles.. haiz.. nevertheless, Im still very happy!!! He sang bday song to me and told kenshin to thank me for being such a great mum and doing a great job for this family. Im so moved by his words! Its a great encouragement to me.. Housewife need appreciation too ok!!! haha!

I rejected the ipad2 present but i told him i want a family getaway trip. It doesnt have to be overseas.. theres too many places in Japan I want to go.. !! I hope this trip can be fulfilled this year.. finger crossed..

Recently, kenshin appetite in solid dropped so much. He refuses to eat and just wanna play! And when I feed him, he sometimes will pui out the food. He used to eats alot but now so much stuffs has taken his attention away.
But his milk intake increase! It makes me wonder if he just wanna play and milk is an easier and faster way for him to feel satisfied. I cant deny the fact that bottle feed him with a 240ml milk in 15 mins is less hassle than trying to feed him half a bowl of rice for 1 hour.

Anyway I started goggle and reading again. In SG, I have known many friends who continue to formula feed their kids until they wean off themselves. Some actually at 7 years old. Theres no right or wrong I feel but if your child is eating less solid and still drinking formula milk, theres some facts you might want to know.

In Japan, the mums here stop breastfeeding or formula before the kid turns 2. Then they move on to fully solid and some with cow's milk. And the fact that the kids here are eating so much and everything(so much as in they eat half a bowl of rice when they are barely 2 years old with lotsa veges, fruits etc) makes me wonder if milk is the cause of kenshin's appetite and picky eating habits. And also his night feeds! Perhaps he didnt finish the dinner thats why the waking up for milk?

1)After your baby is one year old, He can actually wean off BF and Formula and move on to Full fat cow's milk.

Personally, I feel that I do not want to wean kenshin entirely off milk. I will let him wean off by himself. But I do want to reduce his milk intake until he can eat a well balanced diet! And the night feeds. The main reason I hate night feeds are of cos it makes me tired and sleepy PLUS TOOTH DECAY! Milk in contact with saliva will actually transform into sugar which corrode the teeth and also cause tooth decay! Its best to brush your kids teeth before he sleeps because tooth decay starts attacking during sleeping time. Not long ago, a fren told me she paid $2k plus for her 2 years plus son to undergo GA to fix his 2 corroded teeth!! This freaks me out real bad !! the cost, the pain the kid had to go through.. But but I cant be brushing kenshin's teeth in the middle of the night after his nightfeed. Anyway Im bringing him to a dentist when he hits 1.5 years. Its better to pay abit more now than to pay a higher price later on.

Back to the solid intake.. So the first thing when kenshin wakes up in the morning and cries for milk, I actually cheong to the kitchen and appear with bread!!! Initially he still cries for milk, but I do the hard way. I can only do the hard way during weekdays cos my man cannot bear to see kenshin crying so bad. what nonsence right!! anyway, kenshin becomes hungry and hungry and has no choice but to eat the bread. I also provide yogurt and apples later on. I actually kinda force him to finish the whole meal by dragging the bf time and still insisting not to give milk. After 3 days of being so heartless, I succeeded. He finished his breakfast today ;)
Then lunch and dinner.. I try to feed him lunch near to his milk time so hes extemely hungry and will eats more. He didnt finish his lunch and dinner though but eating more than usual definately. And for night feed, I still couldnt cut it yet.. But I will work harder to make him finish his dinner !!

Tonight's dinner

Comfort food for cold days! Korean spicy tofu stew ! It was pure luck to get the right taste ! I couldn't find the Korean miso paste so I ended up mixing gochujang , chili powder, kimchi liquid etc etc.. Mix , taste , add and I got it ! And i use the wrong tofu too cos this yaki tofu is already expired by 2 days in my fridge so i got to use it or discard! End up, I'm proud of this dish!! But I'm not sure if I'm able to cook it again with the same taste!

It was really cold today! I know it's still autumn but the wind was so strong! We only go marketing n spend the rest of the day at home doing chores, play Lego n watch cartoon! The weather is scaring me day by day!

Dinner

As the sky starts turning dark from 4pm , I started coming home earlier! So I have more time preparing dinner , not like the usual rush chop chop cha cha done! Hence hubby commented that his dinner taste better these days!

These was yesterday's dinner! Mitsuna salad with tuna, corn and tomato! Below is chicken Katsu donbori! Donbori means rice bowl meaning this dish should be topped on the rice but I prefer to separate them!

Tonight's dinner which he's eating now! I saw dou miao in the supermarket today! It's this season's vege! Stir fry dou Miao with garlic, potato salad, salmon rice mix with takana and topped with nori aka seaweed! ( great combi) and yakitori!

The yakitori is so yummy !! Secret of yakitori is use good meat! I only cook 6 skewers ! But I bought the chicken n beef from the meat shop! In Japan, the meat shop sells meat which taste so much better but also more expensive than the supermarket! Even the chicken is so mad tender loh ! Love the meat shop uncle! He's always teaching me how to cook meat! Ohh he once taught me to pan fry steak with lid pressed on to get nice medium done! It really taste great! Outside is done n inside is pink yet not bloody! Nice!

We are at baby r us playing Lego!

Daddy got all excited and start using all of the blocks to build this thing!

Poor kenshin got nothing to play and just staring! I scolded daddy n he was like :"I'm building for kenshin" what the hell man, kenshin doesn't looked like he's having fun to watch him building man! Old man fighting with a one year old kid!! Shake head!

Then he pose like this for me to take photo n got all so proud of his work!

Then the old kid used the current 15% discount on Lego to physco me to buy Lego for kenshin! I cave in seeing discount! Wahaha! But Lego is so ex man! Is it also the same in sg? After discount, it still cost $50 plus! This set is just like the sample set kenshin always play with except it's half of the portion.

I really think Lego is a good game for kids creativity!

Dim sum at mister donuts

Few weeks ago, when we went to rent DVDs, I saw this poster! Ba zhang. Ha gow, siew Mai selling at mister donuts !! Omg so surprised! Told my man I must try!! He warned me thar mister donuts is always trying to come up with something new and last time they are selling ramen Which sucks!
This dim sum set cost around $5! Consider very cheap here! Cheaper than Mac !

The actual food looks like this! Portion was so tiny , unlike the poster!! :( I felt cheated n overpaying for this! Ba zhang has no ba only rice! The rest sucks like hell! The moral of the story, if you go to a donut place, ORDER DONUTS!!

4 mins cooking for the kid

One working mum taught me how she prepare quick and easy food for her kids bento to bring to sch!

The secret is silicon steamer and microwave! Cut veg, meat, fish, throw in, add little bit of seasoning or stock! Stock can be prepare in big amount during weekends n freeze! I usually boil ikan billis stock with konbu kelp!
Put the silicon steamer in the microwave for 3 mins! Take out, stir abit and put in again for 1 min! Done ! In just 4 mins!
Cutting may take another 5 mins though!

I bought this in the bookshop! It comes with a recipe book! Cost me slightly less than $40! I thought it comes in 4 color And it depends on your luck on which color you get! But no! It has 4 small silicon bowls in vibrant colors! Love!

Nice colors! Frankly speaking, as a Chinese , I still prefer using pots , wok, pans to cook! But on buzy days like Tuesday whereby I need to go for jap class n on weekends whereby we are rushing Out, these silicon bowls really are useful!!

I bring kenshin to the library twice a month to borrow picture books with some wordings! His concentration on books is really terrible! He lost interest pretty fast! However recently, he starts to copy what we are doing ! And when he sees daddy reading, he automatically picks one book of his and starts flipping and mumbling in his baby language! He actually flips till the last page! What parents do really have a big impact on kids!

Fiesty princess charmaine

While I was spring cleaning this morning, dawn hit me with a bad news via watssap! Feisty princess Charmaine had passed away! Was it broadcasted in the news? I may not know her n cyn mommy in person but in a way, they are close to me ! I wish I was in sg n could attend her wake to give a tight hug to jase n cyn ! I ended up continuing my spring cleaning with tears and my man came home with kenshin asking if I have been watching drama ??!!!!!

I hug kenshin so tight and is thankful that he's besides me! He's with me almost 24 x 7 since birth , I really cannot imagine my life without him! Kenshin, mummy loves u! Please stay strong and healthy!

Weekend at Yodogawa River

We went to Yodogawa River last weekend. It was a park with many families, bbqing, pinics, fishing etc.. I regretted not waking up early and prepare a nice pinic bento set.. we ate at home and drove there.

Lil monster wanna bring this car there! he insisted so bad , push to our car and refuse to let go so bo bian, we lug this garang along..

We are sitting on the top of this slope admiring the river.. suddenly kenshin thought hes playing slide and keeps sliding his ass down intentionally..

He doesnt like to play on the proper pathway , instead , he prefers slopes..

I told daddy his stamina not bad la.. better than mine.. haha still can keep pushing kenshin up, down, up down so many times.. they are so far away from me..

Sat is my off day you see.. so im resting and munching snacks.. bought these snacks at kids mall,.. this shop sells those snacks we ate when we were kiddos.. remember the bob dog chalks candy? they have it too..

And they just keep going up and down up and down up and down..

My man looks like hes out of energy liao..

Now you know why kenshin sticks to daddy like glue.. we were there for 2.5 hours to 3 hours.. and he was pushing him up and down up and down for that long.. with minimal rest.

we went for car wash! and I was shocked.. this place you need to pay like $10 and you can use the soap spray and water spray for 10 mins! its a coin machine kind! and its DIY!!! wash yourself.. =_____='' .. i think in SG, $10 can get ppl to wash for u plus wipe dry? in malaysia, they even clean inside for u maybe...

My Garang Guni Boy

Kenshin has a bad habit. He likes to pick up garbage.. Sometimes when he saw small pc of paper, small bottle cap , he will just pick it up and hold it in his hand for a long time and refuse to give it to me.This time round, he pick this car up! Somebody at our block dispose this. Except being old, filled with cobwebs, no more music and lights, the wheels are working very fine. He actually start pushing and sitting in it and even attempt to push it home. But because it was too dirty, I only allow him to ''park'' downstairs at the bicycle area. So each time we went out, he will definately turn right to look for his car.

Crazy weather

Just when I thought winter is approaching soon, yesterday the temperature rose to 30 deg!!

Today it dropped to 19 deg! That's why they say many kids fall sick during this type of transition period !

The sky starts to turn dark at around 4 n at 5 plus, it's completely dark! I started going out earlier n coming home earlier too!
I start to worry that I might not even want to leave the house at all during winter peak! N how am I going to deal with my full of energy boy who loves to run in the park ! Mums , do share with me some home activities with toddlers!

The irritating sticky father n son

This super glue father n son sticks together on weekends like honey !! Its getting worse cos kenshin only wants daddy at times! Last week, I wanna bring kenshin to the mall to meet up with Atsuko for coffee but becos daddy was at home, kenshin refused to leave the house ! He kept screaming dada dada for like 50 times after I shut the door!

When they r watching tv like this, I go over n lay my head on daddy's thighs! Lil rascal shoo me away mumbling some baby language angrily ! Not once but three times! Argh !! Kenshin is my 情敌！

MIL is gone.. so Im back blogging ;)

The 3 of us has this once a month gathering rotating at each other's home.

The first time was at my place where I served prima taste chicken rice and laksa! These 2 good pals of mine love spicy food! 2nd time is at Miki's home whereby she holds yukata party! 3rd time is at emi's place whereby she serve her cha cha lunch! we call it cha cha lunch becos she loves to cook fast and easy food cha cha done!!!

As I had mentioned MIL is coming next week ... while my man is away on biz trip. Shes a very particular person when it comes to food. Like every meal have to have miso soup if you are not taking any soupy stuffs and every meal must have main and side dish. And theres like autumn veg, summer veg kinda thing and she feels that eating the so call summer veg in autumn is wrong but supermarket still selling so why not???PLus not to mention the quality of the food and ingredients. So I cant just go to the so call seng song or ntuc alike supermarket near my place to buy ingredients. I have to go to the mall supermaket just like cold storage?And she has to have tea break at 3pm everyday. which means I have to make jap green tea and buy japanese sweets.. this one im going to ignore and pretend really! Its crazy to go to the mall daily to buy stuffs! For breakfast, I decided to serve white toast, egg, yogurt, apple every day. Well balanced and healthy!!

This is my plan for now. God bless me really!
1) Oct 3rd ; REFUSE TO COOK since I definately have to clean the house on this day. ;( and its my bday. My man says he will pre order sushi delivery for us ;)

Things had started to get easier for me. :)
I had finally ''settled down'' or I should say get used to the lifestyle here.
Thanks to my MAN , seriously!! He does quite abit to help make my life easier and happier here. I dont call myself a maid now .. haha!!! but definately not taitai also la .. I should say Im a blissful housewife now ;)

-Cooking is not a chore for me now...
My man makes my life easier by asking me not to wake up to make breakfast for him. So on days when I go marketing, I will buy those bread whereby he can bring on the go to office. This extra cost is definately worth it for my extra 30 to 45 mins of beauty sleep.. on days whereby I didnt have chance to pass by a bakery, he will go without breakfast and he says hes totally fine with it.

- I will only wake up and pack the garbage and goes back to sleep till kenshin wakes up.(latest at 8am, his alarm is fix between 7 to 8) My man will throw the garbage for me before he leaves for work.

- The so call HDB cleaning thing, My man insisted that he continues doing. So not I dont want to do.. He really insisted so bad!!! so im not going to agree if anyone is going to call me a pampered singaporean!!!

- We dine out once or twice a week on weekends when we go for our family outing. So no cooking and washing. ;) of cos we dont go to expensive restaurants always. sometimes we dine at foodcourt which is as good!!! and sometimes we splurge on good food... which i cant resist.. but as much as i like, I still try to limit to twice weekly the most!!! Not mainly on the cost saving but when we dine outside, kenshin only eats abit and start wanting to run around. So the meal is usually fast and with us fighting around with him. Unless hes super hungry la!

- Like what I had mentioned, I started chasing dramas at night and chores are being delayed and pile up. and Im glad he doesnt mind digging in the mountain for clothes! and also a messy house. But I do make an effort to vacuum kenshin's playmat daily and clean up the whole house once a week. And My man is very supportive of me chasing dramas cos he says that iphone screen is too small and he wanna buy I PAD for me!! But I firmly rejected and ask him to save the $$$ la! buying i pad for a computer idiot just for watching drama purpose??? its a waste !!!

- Sat morning, my man will bring kenshin to the park to enjoy some father and son bonding after breakfast and this is when I spring clean the house and cook lunch for them. Cleaning and cooking without kenshin around is so peaceful and quick. ;)

- Kenshin is so active now so my man bought a book on where to bring kids to. There are many nice and fun places. He mentioned that he still needs to study on weekend but one day will definately be a family outing day. Im really glad cos I feel that family outing is really important for bonding. whole family stay at home watch tv not really consider unless you all do something together at home. Like everybody do some artwork together or a jig saw puzzle. last week has 2 public holidays so its long weekend. We went to many places and kenshin was so happy that when we hold his hands outside and walk , (mummy holds right hand, daddy holds left hand) , he claps our hands together and laugh and pull us to run with him . And he even wakes up in the morning smiling and laughing and sits there to wait for us to wake up instead of the usual pulling hair, jumps on body, biting tummies.

Thanks to my hubby and my lovely monster !!
one makes my life easier while the other makes it worse.
It compensate in a way. ;)

Drama recommendation

While waiting for kenshin's last milk feed at 12;30am, I will watch drama to kill time. Of cos that also means pushing back all rhe chores! My dry clothes r always stacked up like a mountain before i start to clear it! And my man is always digging into the mountain to look for his one n only red pants! haha! Anyway, my weak point is, I couldnt stop watching the drama once I start .. so i ended up continue watching after his milk feed.. then I will tell myself I will sleep after his next milk feed at 3 plus.. then it continues.. my highest record is 1 hour of sleep... ;( and the whole day is so groggy and floaty..with cuts on my finger while cooking or some burn scars.. serve me right la!!! HAHAHAHA!!

Anyway min, this is for u!! watch this drama next ;) hohoho!!! Theres no RAIN here ok! so dont worry!!! LOLZ...

Weather is getting cold! Remember the fren who gave us a bunch of hand me down shoes and clothes? She gave us hats too! Thanks to her, we had nv bought any shoes for kenshin yet! Today I took out some hats for kenshin to try! Sadly all are too small!

But This hat looks so funny on him so I start snapping pics! Though I'm not able to buckle up but still so funny! He actually reminds me of world war 2 ! Wahahaha cos he looks like those soldiers! 小日本!!!

Donate Blood, Save a Life

Life is unpredictable .. 2 weeks ago, I was chatting with mavis and her precious dog of 14 years is suffering from cancer. She was really devastated. She told me the details and thereafter send me the pics of charcoal. Tears start running down my cheeks with that pair of innocent cute eyes looking at me..
Charcoal passed away last week.. everything happened so quick in just 2 weeks time.. Rest in peace charcoal. You shall be missed!

Anyway, this cancer thing trigger me to read charmaine's blog. If you look at my blog link under noble mummy blog, you will see charmaine's blog. Not sure if you still remember this little gal.. A strong fighter !!! I dont really read her blog or I should say I always avoid to read her blog because each time I read, I will end up crying a few bucket of tears!! To Summarise: Her mum is such a strong and noble lady whom I truely admire. Her hubby left her for her good friend when she was 7th month preggy with charmaine!! FUCK the JERK!! MAN unlike woman can really be heartless to totally ignore the babies and kids when they cheat! Cyn mommy has to brought up 2 kiddos by her own from then on. Anyway, poor charmaine grow up without a father!! and at the age of 4, she contacted cancer. But she is still so strong and cheerful and positive!! cyn mommy went public to request for help to raise funds for her treatment in US! She has a lovely brother and strong mummy!!

She just got out of ICU which was a miracle. !!!
Anyway, one of the post was about her needing blood but SG blood bank 's blood are so low and they couldnt supply enough for her. Her mum was so desperate and also helpless. Apparently not much people donate blood in SG? It had never come to my mind and I seldom heard about ppl doing that too..

Every year, you make time to go for annual body check up with so much blood drawn for blood tests . Why not do the same but for different reason. DONATE BLOOD, SAVE A LIFE!! you may go to the website link at the bottom of this post for more details. If you are a mum, I believe you will definately understand how cyn mummy felt! Those helpless moments whereby you could do nothing but to see your child suffering. We felt so heartpain when our kiddos had fever, vomitting, coughing etc but for her, she has to go through the pain a million times more !!
Charmaine is O+ !! Though you cannot directly donate the blood to her, but I believe it helps in a way. Do mention you are there for charmaine . ;)
If you are not a O+, you will definately save lifes of others too. ;)

Hubby Will be going to hikone for business trip for 4 days on 3rd oct ! Over the years, I have got used to him not celebrating my bday with me on the actual day, He's always on biz trip to somewhere!
Cos oct is the one of the busiest month for accounts in his company! I totally don't mind at all cos we always have an earlier celebration and now in Japan, his business trip days are my rest days cos I will just eat super easy dinner!

But but but!!! Mother in law called and said she missed kenshin so much and will be coming from 3rd to 7th!!! Wa Lao eh!!! I got to cook bf, lunch n dinner for her so can't be easy loh ! Omg n hubby is not around to protect me!!!

Finally lil monster is enjoying brushing his teeth now! For the past one week, he had been laughing n smiling during teeth brushing time and I no longer need to pin him down!
But I do need to make many funny sound effects and funny faces to entertain him! This is definately easier than fighting with him!
After I brushed, I will let him hold the toothbrush to brush himself! Kids just love to copy what we do!

I try to bring him downstairs to play ball at around 5pm before dinner if i have the extra time！！Reason is to drain his energy out so that he will sleep earlier! Evil grin
His way of playing ball is to throw, pick up, grab hold of the ball and run!!He had never ever pass the ball to me!! Lonely player!!

Kenshin feeding pigeons

My monster loves pigeons so much ! The moment he saw them, he will laugh, chase and talk to them in his baby language!!
I bring him to this park twice a week in the morning for a walk and feed those pigeons with bread!! He's very excited!!!
